- 1995:
RTG Films founded as a distributor of Flexible Packaging
Films, primarily BOPP (Polypropylene) which complemented
the Sollas Division of RTG. Initial film orders were
filtered through the major manufacturers.
- 1997:
Purchased our first Dusenbery 835 (62") Duplex
Slitter. Began the actual process of slitting film
from master roll form to customer specified sizes to
accelerate the delivery process. Still ordered film
(slit-to-width) from our suppliers to assist in the early
stages.
- 1998:
Purchased our second Dusenbery 635 (30") Duplex
Slitter. This machine enabled us to primarily slit
the 1" and 2" Bandum film for our Sollas Banders.
In turn, the Sollas Division was now able to source the
film from us instead of relying on Sollas Holland to
supply the film. This machine also assisted with
small order runs.
- 1999:
Stanford 142 "Doctor" (24") machine was
purchased. With many customers requesting
sample rolls of film, it was not beneficial (cost
effective) for us to slit these rolls down on our
Dusenbery slitters. This now enabled us to quickly
ship out sample rolls to customers which than assisted us
with getting more orders, quicker.
- 2000:
After reviewing many slitters in the market, we decided to
purchase a Deacro 653D (62") Duplex Slitter.
This now gave us more capacity and gave us the ability to
bring all slitting in-house and not rely on our suppliers
to slit rolls to necessary widths.
- 2001:
Purchased our second Deacro 653D (62") Duplex
Slitter. Business now took off and to date we
are reviewing the need to add additional slitters.
- 2005:
Will be ordering a new slitter for delivery in
mid-2006.

-
2006: Accepted
delivery of our third Deacro C610A
in June. Upon
receipt we ordered another Deacro C610A to further
increase our capacity. As
of October, our fourth Deacro C610A arrived and to
date, capacity demands have been met.
-
2007:
Started offering the new PLA based environmentally
friendly films as well as the Cellulose based films. These
films are compostable and/or biodegradable.
